Introducing Brigid Education
For years, our support for education happened informally: a contribution here, some mentoring there. It helped, but it depended on who happened to ask, and when. We wanted something more dependable. Brigid Education is the result.
What Brigid Education does
Brigid Education UG is a company dedicated to scholarships and educational support. Its focus is on people whose talent and motivation are bigger than their financial means, people for whom cost is the only real obstacle between them and an education.
The programme is being built around three commitments:
- Clarity. Eligibility criteria, deadlines and the selection process are published in full, so nobody has to guess whether it’s worth applying.
- Fairness. Applications are assessed against the published criteria. Background and connections play no part.
- Simplicity. Applications are made online, including supporting documents. No printing, no posting, no unnecessary forms.
Why a separate company?
We could have run scholarships as a line in the Tigernmas budget. A separate company gives the programme its own identity, its own accountability and its own future. It can build relationships with schools and universities, and it keeps its commitments even when priorities elsewhere in the group change.
Talent is evenly spread. Opportunity is not. Brigid Education exists to narrow that gap.
What happens next
Brigid Education’s own website is in development. It will hold everything applicants need: the programme, the eligibility criteria, deadlines, a step-by-step explanation of the process and the online application itself. We’ll announce the first application round here and on the Brigid Education website as soon as the dates are confirmed.
