How we work with freelancers and service providers

Much of the work across our brands is done together with freelancers and specialist service providers: designers, developers, writers, photographers, IT specialists. We depend on them, and we want working with us to be something they’d recommend to a colleague.
So we wrote down what you can expect.
Before the work starts
- A written brief that explains the goal, not just the task.
- A realistic timeline, agreed together rather than imposed.
- Clear terms in writing: scope, fee, payment date and rights of use.
While we work together
- One named contact who can actually make decisions.
- Feedback that is specific, timely and collected in one place, not scattered across twelve e-mails.
- Changes to the scope are discussed and priced, never quietly added.
Being a good client is underrated. It’s also the best way to find people who want to work with you again.
When the work is done
- Invoices paid on the agreed date, without reminders.
- Credit where it’s due, in public too if you’d like it.
- An honest conversation about what worked and what didn’t, in both directions.
